BIO

Founded in 2016, the MIR Trio unites the forces of Toronto talents Mark Skazinetsky (violin), Igor Gefter (cello), and Rachael Kerr (piano). Their mission is to give a voice to Jewish composers focusing on both living composers and under-represented composers from the past. Recently the MIR Trio was selected to perform at the opening of the Royal Ontario Museum’s historic Holocaust exhibit “The Evidence Room”. The trio opened the 2018-2019 season of Les Amis Concerts and has performed extensively at Temple Sinai in Toronto. www.mirtrio.com
