​Ya-Ba-Bye: The Joys of Hassidic Music

Hazzan Tibor Kovari



​In this delightful musical journey through the shtetls of Eastern Europe, Hazzan Tibor Kovari will illustrate the many styles of Hassidic song, including Vishnitz, Lubavitch, Mozitz, Modern Hassidic music, and more. Emphasizing authenticity, Hazzan Kovari demonstrates these wonderful songs in the original dialects of the different Hassidic dynasties. Experience the real sounds of this extremely joyous music!

Hazzan Tibor Kovari is originally from Romania and has served as Chief Cantor of the Coral Temple in Bucharest, as well as the director of Jewish Education for Federation of Jewish Communities of Romania. He received Rabbinical and Cantorial training at the Hungarian Rabbinical Seminary in Budapest, Ohr Somayach Educational Center in Monsey NY, and the Federation of Jewish Communities of Romania. Since 2003, he has served as Hazzan of Beth Tikvah Synagogue, where he organizes successful yearly concerts to entertain and educate the Toronto Jewish community.
